Various types of MS flanges we offer
Slip-on flanges are slipped over the pipe and then welded both inside and outside to provide sufficient strength. They are used in low-pressure applications.
Weld neck flanges are designed to be welded to a pipe. The neck (or hub) transmits stress to the pipe, reducing high stress concentrations at the base of the flange.
Blind flanges are used to close ends of piping systems. They are also used for pressure testing the flow of liquid or gas through a pipe.
Socket weld flanges are attached by inserting the pipe into the socket end and applying fillet weld around the top. This allows for smooth flow and good fatigue strength.
Threaded flanges are similar to slip-on flanges but with a tapered thread. They are used in low-pressure, non-critical applications where welding is not possible.
Lap joint flanges are used with stub ends. The flange itself is not welded or fixed to the pipe, making it easy to align bolt holes and suitable for systems requiring frequent dismantling.
